Maintenance dredging of a portion of the Guilford Harbor in Guilford, Conn., will be completed under the terms of a $2.2 million contract recently signed between Coastline Consulting and Development, LLC, of Madison, Conn., and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District.

Please be sure that your bilge pump is wired correctly and the switch is set to the “Automatic” position. The pump should not be wired through the battery switch but should connect directly to the battery. During the last heavy rain event the Dockmasters had to pump six boats with non-functioning bilge pumps.
Dear Guilford Boater,
Due to severe shoaling in the Guilford Federal channel, the mooring field, and the marina basin, dredging has been scheduled for this Fall. The United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is coordinating this project. The bids are due by September 8, 2014. A contractor will be selected shortly thereafter. The dredging, by regulation, must take place between October1, 2014 and January 31, 2015.
Until the contract is awarded we will not know the exact start date for this project.
It is anticipated that dredging would start no earlier than October 15, 2014. Please make plans to have your boat moved by that date at the latest.
